My passions are in somatic (body) therapy and am particularly interested in anxiety, depression and PTSD. I value working with women utilizing somatic therapies, EMDR and Neurofeedback. I have a deep passion for Internal family Systems therapy and the work of helping integrate fractured dissociative parts caused by trauma. I am trained in EMDR, neurofeedback and Theraplay with parents and children to build a secure attachment. I am also a family group conference (family mediation) facilitator.

EMDR therapy: $180 per session (Medicare rebate and private health insure rebates apply)

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Repeated studies show that by using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference. It is widely assumed that severe emotional pain requires a long time to heal. EMDR therapy shows that the mind can in fact heal from psychological trauma much as the body recovers from physical trauma.

Neurofeedback: $130 per session

Because common conditions like depression, ADHD, anxiety, concussions, and more occur when your brain waves aren’t working together in perfect balance. Neurofeedback training allows you to retrain specific areas of your brain to bring it back to its functional best.

Theraplay – $180 per session (Medicare rebate and private health insurance rebates apply)

Theraplay is a dyadic child and family therapy that has been recognized by the Association of Play Therapy as one of seven seminal psychotherapies for children. Developed over 50 years ago, and practiced around the world, Theraplay was developed for any professional working to support healthy child/caregiver attachment. Strong attachment between the child and the important adults in their life has long been believed to be the basis of lifelong good mental health as well as the mainstay of resilience in the face of adversity. Modern brain research and the field of neuroscience have shown that attachment is the way in which children come to understand, trust and thrive in their world.

Clinical supervision - $130 per session

I provide clinical supervision to social workers via Zoom and face to face. I make sure I engage social workers in ongoing professional learning that enhances their capacity to respond effectively to complex and changing practice environments.

Family Group Conference Facilitator - $120 per hour

From time-to-time, families have difficulties caring for their children or other family members, and this can be for many different reasons. Family group conferencing is a way to bring family members together in a positive way with an impartial facilitator to make a plan for their loved ones. Families have found family group conferencing to be a really helpful way to work out a plan that everyone has participated in and agrees to.
